All staff have a vested interest in advancing patient care through the pursuit of tangible solutions for both common and rare retinal pathologies.
We actively participate in both local and multi-centre trials.
Our current ongoing research interests are:
- Gene discovery for Inherited Retinal Disease
- Phenotype characterization of inherited retinal disease
- Multi-centre trials involving therapies for inherited retinal disease
- Development of Diabetic patient resources to improve compliance with therapy
- Screening for diabetic eye disease
- Investigations of novel treatments and regimens of care for age related macular degeneration
