La recherche fait partie intégrante du fonctionnement et des opérations quotidiennes de notre institut.
Tous nos employés portent un intérêt particulier aux progrès en matière de soins aux patients. Ils recherchent des solutions tangibles pour les pathologies rétiniennes courantes et rares.
Nous participons activement à des essais cliniques locaux et multi-centraux.
Nos recherches actuelles se consacrent :
- à la découverte de gènes pour les pathologies rétiniennes héréditaires ;
- à la caractérisation du phénotype des pathologies rétiniennes héréditaires ;
- à des essais cliniques multi-centraux impliquant des traitements pour les pathologies rétiniennes héréditaires ;
- à la mise en place de ressources pour les patients atteints de diabète afin d’améliorer leurs réponses aux traitements ;
- au dépistage des rétinopathies diabétiques ;
- à la recherche de nouveaux traitements et régimes de soin pour la dégénérescence maculaire liée à l’âge.
