Inflammatory Disease of the Posterior Segment
What is it?
Ocular tissue can be affected by inflammation arising from the body or locally within the eye. Many conditions that are associated with inflammation can cause eye complications.
Occasionally drug therapy is used to treat these problems, such as Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil).
This may also cause vision loss and requires follow-up care in collaboration with other specialties in medicine.
