Yes, if you have a valid medicare card, your visit with an Ophthalmologist will be covered under Quebec Healthcare.

While most services are covered, there may be fees for certain non-insured diagnostic tests that will need to be paid by the patient and will not be covered by Medicare.

If you are experiencing sudden vision loss or are worried about your vision and would like to be seen shortly, please contact the clinic by phone directly to speak to our personnel for assistance. Otherwise, please present yourself to the nearest hospital for any emergencies.

Ophthalmologists do not provide eye glasses, or prescriptions lenses, for these requests, please refer to an optometrist.

If you do not a have a referral and are not an existing patient of the Institute, please complete your details online or contact us via phone for an appointment with an optometrist.
