Treatment and Detection
of Retinal Conditions

Treatment via intravitreal injection

Wet Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) and several other retinal conditions are treated with Anti-VEGF intravitreal injections.
These injections have become the most commonly performed eye procedure in the world and increase in volume each year.
Their benefit mainly involves preventing permanent vision loss for certain retina conditions and in some cases even improving vision.

Retina laser treatments

An outpatient procedure involving the application of laser energy to the retinal tissue. It is indicated for several pathologies including but not limited to:

  • Peripheral retinal tears to prevent detachment (peripheral laser retinopexy)
  • Diabetic Retinopathy (Pan-retinal photocoagulation)
  • Macular Laser (diabetic disease or vascular occlusions)

Optometry services

Most procedures done by our ophthalmologists require a referral from an optometrist. You may consult several optometrists all throughout the city to assist you.

If you do not have a referral, you can visit our in-house optometrist for a wide variety of services.

Diabetic eye screening program

An annual eye examination in the form of diabetic eye screening with an experienced optometrist will allow for categorizing the level of diabetic retinopathy present and advising the appropriate form of management.
These regular checkups can reduce the risk of vision loss significantly.
